where a school is ready to exit the conference completely is another thing. Wake not only has to find a new home, but it also has to thoroughly vet the GoR ramifications on both the athletic program and its new home. Also, it is possible that Wake may just be exploring the option of becoming a non-football member in the ACC or a limited member to just a few sports. If the ACC ends up agreeing to it, then it could be a bad move on the ACC's part. It would just stay the ACC one more step closer to looking like the old Big East and make it easier for people to view the ACC as the "red headed stepchild" of the power conferences.
